Indian Bank Officers’ Association Eastern Zone, WB State Unit organizes 1st Triennial Conference. Honors Labor Day by organising Blood Donation Camp

Indian Bank Officers’ Association Eastern Zone (IBOAEZ), West Bengal State Unit, held its 1st Triennial Conference on April 27, 2024, at Bhasa Bhavan, National Library Kolkata. The conference saw the participation of 1200 members from various districts of West Bengal.

The inauguration of the conference was marked by esteemed guests including R Sekaran, Secretary General of All India Indian Bank Officers’ Association (AIIBOA); Subhajyoti Chattopadhyay, Secretary of All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC), West Bengal State Unit; Binoy Kumar Singh, CGM Kolkata, Indian Bank; and Rajesh Singh, GM Guwahati, Indian Bank.

During the conference, the speakers emphasized the importance of work-life balance to enhance customer service quality and addressed the need for more bank officers to efficiently run branches. The office bearers of the association, including Saurabh Upadhyay, Joint Secretary General, AIIBOA; Krishnendu Mukherjee, General Secretary, IBOAEZ; Sanjoy Kr. Bandyopadhyay, President, IBOAEZ; Goutam Sarkar, Working President, IBOAEZ; and Subrata Sarkar, State Secretary, IBOAEZ West Bengal State Unit; appreciated the dedication of the volunteers and the overwhelming participation of members, which contributed to the success of the conference.

On the auspicious occasion of May 1st, celebrated globally as International Labour Day, the Indian Bank Officers’ Association Eastern Zone (IBOAEZ) joined hands with Kothari Blood Bank Kolkata to host a blood donation camp at Williamson Magor Hall, Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Kolkata. Members of the association enthusiastically participated in this noble event, with many women members also contributing by donating blood. A total of 250 units were collected during this heartfelt initiative. It has become a tradition for IBOAEZ to organize this blood donation camp every year on May 1st to honor the struggles of the working class.

The event was graced by the presence of Sri Binoy Kumar Singh, Chief General Manager, Kolkata, Indian Bank, who attended as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished attendees were association leaders such as Saurabh Upadhyay, Joint Secretary General of All India Indian Bank Officers’ Association (AIIBOA); Krishnendu Mukherjee, General Secretary of IBOAEZ; Sanjoy Kr. Bandyopadhyay, President of IBOAEZ; Goutam Sarkar, Working President of IBOAEZ; and Subrata Sarkar, State Secretary of IBOAEZ WB State Unit, along with other prominent leaders.
