Manish Thakor was born in a common family in Shiholi Moti village of Gandhinagar district. Since the family’s financial situation was very poor, he completed his education from standard 1 to 10 in a government school. But amidst the difficulties of life, he failed in standard 10, which proved to be an important turning point in his life. Despite facing obstacles in his studies, he decided to move forward in life instead of giving up.
After standard 10, he started working in the Zebrata Tiles Studio company in his village. He worked here for about 10 years. During this time, the owner of the company gave him the opportunity to learn computers along with work. Manish Thakor took full advantage of this opportunity and acquired the necessary skills in the computer and digital field. With the guidance and cooperation of the company’s sheikh, he got a new direction to move forward in life.
In the year 2018, Manish Thakor started a YouTube channel named “Bapji Studio” to realize his dream. Initially, he used to upload Gujarati live garba and folk songs. His efforts received a good response from the audience and the love of the people kept motivating him to move forward continuously.
An important result of his hard work was seen in the year 2021, when Bapji Studio’s first Gujarati song “Mari Seenu Fashion Wali” went viral. This song was sung by singer Suresh Jhala and was very much liked by the audience. This song gave Bapji Studio a new identity and popularity.
After this success, Bapji Studio continuously released popular songs. The song “Parni Ne Tame Bija Ghar Re Jawana” was sung by singer Rajni Dabhi, which also received a good response from the audience. Then the song “Tame Bhulij Gaya To Hu Shu Karu” was released by singer Rahul Thakor and became popular. Along with this, the song “Hachavje Fota Mara Kom Lagshe” was released by singer Dilip Thakor, who also got the love of the people.
Due to Manish Thakor’s efforts and dedication towards music, “Bapji Studio” today holds a strong position in the Gujarati folk music field. His main aim is to take Gujarati folk culture to a wider level and give a suitable platform to new artists.
